GIGABYTE G24F 2 GAMING MONITOR

Date

I’ve been wanting to add another gaming monitor to my current workstation but I’ve found it challenging given the number of options available. Good thing the folks at GIGABYTE sent us one to test and see if we’d like it. Here’s a quick look at the GIGABYTE G24F 2 GAMING MONITOR.

At first I thought that I’d be getting a downgraded experience since I’m used to using my 32″ 3K curved monitor. As the name suggests, this monitor is just 24″ with FHD resolution. Still, the smaller footprint allowed us to gain more desk space, not to mention that the screen size is significantly larger than my 15.6″ gaming laptop. It even has a stylish, futuristic design with a height adjustable stand.

It’s a small gaming monitor in a sense, but packed with features. There’s the 8-bit Super Speed IPS panel with 95% DCI-P3 super wide-gamut color, which also means that viewing angles and colors are good, the smooth 165Hz refresh rate (OC 180Hz), and support for AMD FreeSync Premium & Adaptive Sync. It comes with an abundance of ports as well which includes 2x HDMI 2.0, 1x Displayport 1.2 (capable for HDR), 2x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Downstream ports, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Upstream port, and 1x Earphone Jack.

When it comes to gaming features, it has OSD Sidekick to allow you to set the display options with keyboard and mouse, onscreen timer and counter, customizable crosshairs, display alignment, and aim stabilizer to reduce motion blur for better visual clarity while playing FPS games.

So far, we enjoying the GIGABYTE G24F 2 GAMING MONITOR a lot. While we weren’t to do some hardcore tinkering with the features, we didn’t experience any issues playing CoD: Modern Warfare 2 and Diablo IV. It’s also a good productivity monitor when we need to go back to work. Lastly, it doesn’t cost a lot at PHP 9,250. For this price, you’re getting a gaming monitor with a high refresh rate and gaming features. I might even consider getting two for a dual-monitor setup.
