Steelseries, a brand well-known for its high-end gaming and esprots peripherals, has unveiled its latest microphones aimed at gamers and streamers, the Alias and Alias Pro.
These microphones are powered by Steelseries’s high-performance turbo engine known as Sonar for Streamers. This free studio-grade software suite provides gamers with an all-in-one sound studio and delivers everything a streamer needs for audio high-quality production. It is also compatible with standard video broadcasting software (OBS, Streamlabs, etc.) and uses CPU rather than GPU processing to avoid frame rate drops.
The Alias is a USB microphone and boasts a 24bit/48kHz broadcast quality, a 5-stage LED indicator that displays mic peak level information, and a built-in RGB downlight and 5-stage LED that offers 16.8M RGB colors to personalize the streaming setup.
The Alias Pro, on the other hand, is an XLR microphone that offers even better sound quality and more features than the Alias. It features a balanced XLR system with a pre-amplifier and 48V phantom power, Drag ‘n’ Drop Audio Routing, and custom-designed LED indicators.
In addition, it also has StreamMixer that utilizes two USB ports with Sonar Software to support optional dual PC streaming for content creators. To allow for easy mixing, the Alias Pro features Drag ‘n’ Drop Audio Routing, where streamers can route and mix up to five audio channels and adjust them individually to craft the perfect experience for their audience.
