Huawei Watch GT 4 46mm

Date

By now, you are probably already aware that Huawei has its hands on almost everything tech. And one of the things that it’s good at is making smartwatches. And one of their latest for 2023 is the Huawei Watch GT 4. Read our thoughts below.

It’s nice to see Huawei continue improving the design of the GT line considering that the previous generation still looks good in today’s standards. The GT 4 46mm (also comes in 41mm for the ladies) now uses an octagonal design for the case that makes it look more dynamic and sophisticated compared to the traditional rounded look. It comes in Black (Flouroelastomer strap), Brown (leather), Green (woven), and Gray (stainless).

Design-wise, the Huawei Watch GT 4 looks new and familiar at the same time. If you want a different design, there’s the Huawei Watch Ultimate and Ultimate Design. Still, the GT 4 looks good and carries the Huawei premium.

In terms of specs, we still have a 1.43-inch AMOLED screen with 466 x 466 resolution. It’s crisp, with punchy colors, but no mention of the type of glass. For the case, we have stainless steel with 5 ATM water resistance. With a rotating crown that doubles as a home button and side button for quick access to workout features.

When it comes to connectivity and features, it’s pretty much standard. We have Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, GNSS, a microphone and a speaker. For health monitoring, it syncs with your smartphone via the Huawei Health app. The Huawei TruSeen 5.5+ system tracks your vital signs, including heart rate with Pulse Wave Arrhythmia Analysis, women’s health and ovulation, SpO2, sleep, and stress. You can also track your calorie intake on top of sports and activity tracking. However, we’re a bit disappointed that it doesn’t have an ECG sensor module to provide ECG measurements.

As for the battery life, it can last up to 14 days of minimal usage, 8 days of regular usage, or 4 days with Always On Display enabled. Charging, on the other hand, is still done wirelessly via its charging puck.

If you’re coming from the GT 3, the GT 4 is a good upgrade, unless you already have the GT 3 Pro, you’ll lose the ECG function, titanium case, and sapphire crystal. Still, the GT 4 is a great option if you’re looking for your first smartwatch. You will surely enjoy the new design, color options, and new features.

Price starts at PHP 12,999 SRP for the 46mm fluoroelastomer strap model. You can buy it from Shopee here.
